Starbucks Referral Program Spain: 500 Stars Each (2026)

Starbucks is an international coffeehouse brand selling coffee, tea, cold drinks, food and merchandise through its cafés. In Spain it also operates Starbucks Rewards, an app-based loyalty programme for earning and redeeming Stars.

An existing Starbucks Rewards member opens Settings in the Spain app, finds Refer a friend, and shares the personal alphanumeric code. The friend must be new to Starbucks Rewards, register in the app, enter that code and make a complete first purchase in-store or through the app worth at least €2.50.

Both people receive 500 Stars after a qualifying referral. The referrer can earn these rewards for up to six qualifying friends in a rolling 12-month referral period, for up to 3,000 Stars. Starbucks says additional referred friends can still receive their 500 Stars even after the referrer reaches the annual reward cap. Stars have no cash value.

   Find the code

   In the Starbucks Rewards Spain app, open Settings and the Refer a friend feature.

   Send the unique alphanumeric code to a person who is not already a Starbucks Rewards member.

   The friend downloads the Spain app, creates a Starbucks Rewards account and enters the referrer’s code in the relevant field.

   Make the first purchase

   The friend completes an in-store or in-app purchase of at least €2.50.

   Once the requirements are met, Starbucks credits 500 Stars to each eligible account.

This guide covers Starbucks Rewards in Spain. Starbucks loyalty and referral mechanics are country-specific, so do not assume the same 500-Star offer applies in another country. The Spain Rewards programme is available at participating Starbucks stores in Spain.

The referral feature has no fixed end date in the current terms, but Starbucks can modify, suspend or cancel it. Under the Rewards terms updated in June 2026, newly generated Stars expire six months after being credited. Referral reward eligibility resets 12 months after the first qualifying referred member in that cycle.

Starbucks states that both accounts receive the 500-Star reward once the new member has registered with the code and completed the qualifying first purchase. The terms do not promise a specific number of hours or days, so contact Starbucks Spain support if a completed referral is not credited.

• The referral code must be entered as part of the new member’s registration/referral flow; the current terms do not promise retroactive code addition.
• The first complete purchase must be at least €2.50 and can be made in a participating store or through the app.
• Self-referrals, fake accounts, alternative-email self-referrals, bots and automated referral generation are prohibited.
• The referrer can earn Stars for six qualifying friends per 12-month cycle; further qualifying friends can still receive their own reward.
• Referral Stars are loyalty points with no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for cash.
• Newly generated Stars expire after six months under the June 2026 Rewards terms.
• Specific referral campaigns can have separate conditions that override the general referral rules.

For an existing Starbucks Rewards user referring someone who genuinely plans to join, 500 Stars on each side is a straightforward benefit for a €2.50 minimum first purchase. The main limitation is that 500 Stars alone is below the current lowest 2,500-Star redemption tier, so it is a contribution toward a future reward rather than an immediate free item.
