The exact requirement is shown on the Invite page. Depending on the program, qualifying activity can involve a cross-currency transfer or eligible card spending.
Why do Wise referral offers look different?
Wise runs several invite-program variants. Guests may receive a fee-free transfer or a choice including a free card, while inviter rewards and thresholds vary. Wise also runs targeted temporary campaigns.
For the free-transfer variant, Wise says each qualifying friend generally needs an international transfer of at least £200 or equivalent; same-currency transfers, currency conversions and Wise-card use do not count for that particular variant.
Important exceptions and restrictions
A friend who forgot the invite link can add it within 30 days of joining Wise.
- Each invite qualifies only for the referral program that was live when the friend signed up.
- Promotional invite campaigns are not offered to everyone and cannot be extended beyond their deadline.
- Rewards generally must be claimed within one year after qualification; check your Invite page for your exact terms.
- Can you post a personal Wise referral link publicly?
It can be useful when you already know someone who wants Wise, but the value cannot be summarized by one headline amount because Wise personalizes programs by region and account. Always compare the live offer shown on your Invite page with the activity required.
