niba Referral Program 2026: €50 Each, 90-Day Wait and Rules
niba's Spanish referral programme rewards a qualifying existing customer and a genuinely new electricity customer with €50 each in niba Wallet credit. The newcomer must join with a valid code and keep the electricity contract active and paid up for 90 days. This is credit for niba services, not an instant cash payment. The official general terms run to 31 December 2026; a separate Enchúfate advertising campaign had an earlier deadline and must not be confused with the ordinary referral scheme.

What is niba and who is the programme for?
niba is a Spanish digital electricity and gas retailer within the Iberdrola group, operated by Fastlight, S.L. It sells household energy plans and manages accounts through its website and app. Its standard referral programme is for adult individuals resident in Spain. An existing eligible user shares a personal code with a new customer who signs up for residential electricity. Having a code is not itself proof of a bonus: the new contract, customer identity, payment history and campaign-specific conditions all matter.
The €50 + €50 reward is wallet credit, not a transfer
Under the currently published programme terms, the referrer receives €50 and the invited customer €50 after a qualifying activation and validation. The credit is placed in their individual niba Wallets for eligible niba services and permitted discounts. Do not advertise it as cash sent to a bank account, and do not assume it can be withdrawn. A separate Zona Neo page displays escalating rewards of €50, €70 and €100 per referral at certain invitation counts. Because the general terms set €50 for this campaign and allow campaign-specific parameters, check your own app before promising a higher tier.
How to invite a friend without losing the reward
- 1
Find your personal code
As an eligible niba customer, open the app or web customer area and go to niba Plus.
- 2
Send the genuine invitation
Share the code or referral link with an adult in Spain who is not already an ineligible customer.
- 3
Enter it during signup
The friend uses the code when signing a new residential electricity contract, not after checkout.
- 4
Wait for activation and 90 days
The supply must activate and stay active; both accounts must remain current on payments.
- 5
Check both Wallets
Review the reward status and €50 credits, keeping confirmation if support is needed.
Who is eligible — and which referrals fail?
The standard terms require an adult individual resident in Spain and a qualifying new residential electricity contract. The invitee must enter the valid code during checkout, rather than trying to add it after the supply is active. Self-referrals and invitations between contracts sharing the same account holder, tax ID, IBAN or CUPS are excluded. Former niba customers do not normally generate a new-customer reward when the same holder or supply has been registered within the preceding 12 months, unless a specific campaign says otherwise. Corporate accounts, employees and partners can face exclusions or extra conditions.
- Under 18 or not resident in Spain: not eligible under the general rules.
- A new contract with the same holder, NIF, IBAN or CUPS as the inviter is not a valid referral.
- A former customer or supply registered within the preceding 12 months normally fails new-customer eligibility.
- The referred user must enter a valid code during the contracting process.
- A new electricity contract and successful activation are required; gas-only signup is not the documented trigger.
- Both participants must remain compliant with payment and activation conditions at validation.
- Automated accounts, misleading advertising, spam and manipulation can lead to cancellation or reversal.
- The €50 is wallet credit, not a bank transfer or guaranteed cash-out.
- Zona Neo's higher tiers and the expired Enchúfate advertising campaign have distinct conditions.
The 90-day clock, pending rewards and cancellations
The official rules set validation at 90 calendar days after effective activation of the referred electricity supply, provided the contract remains active and both parties have no overdue invoices. If conditions are temporarily unmet, the benefit can remain pending for regularisation for up to six months. Cancellation, non-payment, a reversed transaction or fraud can cancel the reward or trigger a wallet adjustment. A signup date is not necessarily the electricity activation date, so save the activation confirmation and check status in the app.
The 2026 expiry and the Enchúfate distinction
The general referral terms specify a campaign window from 30 September 2025 through 31 December 2026, subject to earlier changes notified by niba. The separate Enchúfate advertising-participation promotion began 2 March 2026 and ended 30 June 2026, with a May application deadline. That special promotion involved selection for marketing appearances and image permissions; it is not evidence that the ordinary €50 customer referral has expired. The Enchúfate landing page remains online, but its dated PDF must not be used to extend the expired advertising offer.
Is switching supplier worthwhile for €50?
Treat the reward as a welcome extra, not the reason to pick an expensive tariff. Compare annual energy use, price per kWh, contracted power, taxes and any ancillary services. Check the final signup screen for the referral code, keep a screenshot and review your Wallet after the 90-day milestone. If the bonus is absent, ask niba support to check activation, identity matching, paid invoices and campaign status. The company may update reward parameters, so the app and latest official terms take priority over old screenshots.

FAQs
niba referral questions answered
What is niba?+
niba is a Spanish digital electricity and gas retailer operated by Fastlight within the Iberdrola group. Its consumer referral programme rewards eligible existing customers and new household electricity customers with niba Wallet credit after validation.
Is the niba referral programme available in Spain?+
Yes. The official general terms cover adult individuals resident in Spain and qualifying residential electricity signups.
How much does the referrer get?+
The current general programme sets €50 in niba Wallet credit per valid friend. Some Zona Neo tiers show higher values, but eligibility must be checked separately.
What does the new customer get?+
€50 in their own niba Wallet after a qualifying referred electricity activation and validation.
When do the credits arrive?+
The standard validation milestone is 90 calendar days after effective electricity activation, provided all requirements are met.
Can I withdraw the €50 as cash?+
The published reward is niba Wallet credit for eligible services and discounts, not a promised cash withdrawal.
Where can I find my invitation code?+
In the niba app or customer area, under niba Plus.
Does an existing niba customer count as a new friend?+
No. The rules also exclude recent former customers or supplies registered in the preceding 12 months unless a campaign expressly overrides that condition.
Can I invite myself using another bank account?+
No. Self-referrals and matching holder, NIF, IBAN or supply point (CUPS) are excluded.
Does a gas-only contract qualify?+
The general referral process explicitly describes a new residential electricity supply. Do not assume a gas-only signup earns the reward.
What if a friend cancels or misses payments?+
The reward can remain pending, be cancelled or be reversed when activation, ongoing service or payment conditions are not satisfied.
Is the programme valid after June 2026?+
The ordinary programme's terms run through 31 December 2026. The special Enchúfate advertising campaign ended on 30 June 2026.
Can I share the code publicly?+
Avoid spam or misleading mass promotion. For public community listings, confirm the current channel rules with niba and do not use restricted advertising assets.
What about €70 or €100 referral bonuses?+
The official Zona Neo page displays tiered amounts at higher invitation counts. These should not be presented as a guaranteed standard €50-campaign reward without account-level confirmation.
