Santander Spain Referral Program: €80 per Friend, Up to €800 (2026)

An eligible Santander customer first joins the Plan Amigo campaign to generate a personal code. A non-customer uses that code during account opening, joins Santander Más and completes its conditions. Only after Santander validates the full chain does the referrer earn €80 gross.

The referrer receives €80 gross, stated by Santander as €64.80 net after 19% withholding, for each of up to 10 qualifying friends. The friend is not promised a separate €80 referral payment. Instead, the friend must join Santander Más, whose current welcome campaign can pay monthly incentives up to €840 over two years when its own income and activity conditions are met.

The Plan Amigo is limited to individuals aged 18 or over who are Spanish tax residents. The referrer must be a Santander customer with a current account and at least €30 balance; active Santander employees and certain paid prescribers, agents or collaborators are excluded.

Referrers can join and obtain a code from July 30 through December 22, 2026. Santander’s FAQ says the friend has one additional month, through January 22, 2027, to open an eligible account and enter the code. The currently published Santander Más welcome campaign has its own enrollment deadline of October 30, 2026, so check for any successor campaign if joining later.

Santander states that once it verifies the referral and the friend’s qualifying conditions, the €80 gross reward is paid into the account selected by the referrer during the last week of the relevant month. Opening the account alone is not enough.

• The code must be entered during account opening. Santander explicitly says it cannot be linked to the referrer afterward.
• The friend must be a new Santander customer and join Santander Más; simply opening an account does not trigger the reward.
• The referrer must hold a Santander current account with at least €30 and must sign the campaign enrollment document.
• The code has a maximum of 10 bonified uses; after that Santander disables it for this promotion.
• Only one incentive is paid per opened account even if the account has multiple holders.
• The referrer must remain a Spanish tax resident and cannot be delinquent or otherwise irregular with Santander when the reward is paid.
• Santander prohibits mass or fraudulent distribution, spam and mass-messaging tools; share the code only within your circle of interested acquaintances.
• The Plan Amigo reward is compatible with other Santander promotions except other promotions within the friend/referral program.

For an existing Santander customer, €80 gross per successful friend is meaningful, but the friend has substantially more work than merely opening an account because Santander Más enrollment and conditions are required. The date mismatch between Plan Amigo and the current Santander Más campaign is the main point to verify before a late-2026 signup.
